About us
Welcome to beautiful Southern California
From Yorkshire to Southern California
Welcome to our little corner of Southern California!
I’m Paul, and together with my wife Julie, we’ve been fortunate enough to call America home since 2010. Most of that time has been spent enjoying the sunshine of Southern California, although we did venture north for a wonderful couple of years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, near Seattle.
In 2021, we became American citizens, proudly adding an American passport to our British ones. Although, as anyone who knows me will tell you, you can take the lad out of Yorkshire, but taking Yorkshire out of the lad is another matter entirely.
Life has taken us to some remarkable places, introduced us to wonderful people and provided more than a few adventures along the way.
This website is our way of sharing a little of that journey — the places we’ve been, the people who matter, photographs, memories and the occasional observation about life on both sides of the Atlantic.
We hope you’ll enjoy looking around.
